Exit and Emergency Lights
Emergency and Exit lighting is required in the unfortunate circumstance where power could be cut to the location during an emergency or a power failure. The Emergency lights illuminate allowing a safe and visible passage to the nearest exit.
Tests are conducted every 6 months and Pulse Test and Tag ensure the batteries are fully charged and the lights are working and functional under test conditions to the Australian Standard AS2293.2.
How are Exit and Emergency Lights Tested?
Before Testing, Pulse Test and Tag will confirm with management that there will be no disruption to the site while conducting the Emergency and Exit Light testing
- Inspect all light fittings and diffusers for correct operation prior to testing
- Replace any faulty tubes and globes as required
- Isolate emergency lighting from main power supply to test battery operation of lighting – 90 min cycle
- Ensure all lights meet the criteria and report accordingly of any faulty items
- Reinstate power supply on completion
- Record full results for each exit and emergency light on the premises.
