What is Electrical Testing and Tagging?
Your electrical appliances are tested using specialised equipment to ensure they are safe for your use. The appliance then has a tag placed on it to show it is compliant with the current Standard.
It is now a legal requirement for employers to have all electrical appliances at the workplace tested at regular intervals. From a Health and Safety perspective, it is the right of the employee to have a workplace free from risk or harm. The employer, therefore, has an obligation to provide that safe workplace for them.
The testing and tagging service is not just for the workplace. Remember, electrocution from faulty appliances can also happen at home.
